In what states is self solemnization legal?
Self-solemnization, or marrying without an officiant, is legal in only a few U.S. states. Colorado is the most well-known, letting couples marry each other freely. Washington, DC, and a handful of other states allow it too, each with its own rules for licenses and ceremonies. Learn more in my Self-Solemnization Guide.
