Vows and Peaks Ouray Elopement Packages & Pricing
Vows and Peaks offers three Ouray elopement packages: Tree Line at $4,700 for 4 hours, Mountain at $6,000 for 8 hours, and Alpine at $7,000 for 10 hours. Mountain is the most-booked option, giving couples time to Jeep into the basin, hold a real ceremony, and still make it to the brewery.
How Do You Choose?

Tree Line Elopement Package
$4,7004 Hours of Photography: One epic Ouray location, off-roading or an easy paved spot, your call. If it’s off-roading, I drive, my rig, no rental company to schedule around. If you’d rather skip off-roading entirely, Red Mountain Pass is paved, dramatic, and needs zero 4WD. Four hours gets you a real ceremony and a gallery that looks like a full day, then you’re soaking in the hot springs by afternoon like you planned it that way all along.
Mountain Elopement Package
$6,0008 Hours of Photography: With this package, you’re Jeep-ing or hiking up to an epic lake or alpine pass. You’re saying your vows at 11,000 feet, surrounded by wildflowers and 14ers. It’s the kind of ceremony where you actually feel like you’re on top of the world, not just pretending to be. This package also has room for a small group of family or friends to join part of the day if you do something shorter by yourselves.
Alpine Elopement Package
$7,00010 Hours of Photography: The Alpine package was built for couples who want more than one epic Ouray spot. Maybe you’ve got a crew who wants to make a real day of it. Maybe you just can’t decide between a mountain lake and a waterfall. Maybe you’re the kind of person who says, “Why not both?”

Ouray Elopement Package FAQ
Every package includes location scouting, Jeep-and-hike route planning, vendor connections, permit research where a spot actually needs it, and your full online gallery. The difference between packages is hours of coverage.
Photography and planning run $4,700 to $7,000. The marriage license is $30. Permits for most backcountry locations are $0. Only for the Yankee Boy Basin and Imogene Pass locations, which is where the Mountain and Alpine packages typically head. A Subaru with AWD won’t cut it past the lower section, real high-clearance 4WD is required. If you’d rather skip renting one, Tree Line at Red Mountain Pass needs zero off-roading. Late June through early October is the window. September is the sweet spot, with the aspens going gold on the Million Dollar Highway and crowds dropping hard after Labor Day. July and August bring wildflowers, but also daily afternoon thunderstorms above treeline, so morning ceremony starts are non-negotiable in that window.
I’m Sean. I live 10 min down the road from Ouray half the year, and I’ve photographed hundreds of elopements in Ouray. But I don’t just photograph elopements. I plan them, scout the location myself, handle the permits, and connect you with local vendors so you don’t have to think about any of it.
I live in Colorado full time, not just for elopement season. This isn’t a weekend trip for me. I’ve spent years learning these mountains, and I use that to find you a spot nobody else would think to send you to.
I’m Sean. I moved to Colorado 14 years ago and spent the first few years just exploring every corner of the state I could find. Eight years ago I started doing elopements in Colorado and it clicked immediately.
Hundreds of couples later and I’m still going out before sunrise to find those hidden locations, fixing broken dress zippers mid elopement, and building days where couples tell me they completely forgot I was even there. That the whole thing felt natural and unscripted, like hanging out with an old friend who just happened to be capturing everything.
