Telluride Elopement Packages

Book Your Date

Are you looking to elope in Telluride, but need help putting it all together for that stress free elopement you deserve? Well, you’re in the right place! I’m Sean, and I’ve been photographing elopements in Telluride since 2018. I know every switchback and secret ceremony spot up here, places that’ll give you dope images without another soul in sight. I’ll white-knuckle it down a jeep trail to get you to that perfect alpine ridge. When I’m not behind the lens, I’m scouting out old and new spots for couples like you! This is backyard and I have these elopement packages completely dialed in to make sure you have the easiest wedding of your life in one of Colorado’s coolest places.

But here’s the thing: Telluride looks straightforward until you start planning it. How are you going to find a location, pick out vendors, figure out where to stay, whether a spot is worth the hype, and what happens if a mudslide takes out your first choice (it’s happened). Your head is probably spinning with all the research you’ve been doing. That stops here!

My Telluride elopement packages are dialed in with all the planning to make this easy and I know the hidden aspen groves, the alpine lake basins that never show up on other photographers sites, and I build a timeline and backup plan into every single day so you don’t have to worry.

From the first call all the way through your gallery, these Telluride elopement packages are built to feel effortless and personal. Not like hiring a vendor off the street, but like calling up someone who already knows exactly what your day needs. Let’s dive in!

What is Included in Vows and Peaks Telluride Elopement Package?

Every Telluride elopement package with Vows and Peaks comes with photography, location scouting, vendor connections, a custom timeline, and your full gallery, all included. The only real difference between packages is how many hours you want to book.

Here’s some extra details of what is included in every package:

  • Local Telluride Elopement Photographer: I know when the passes are accessible, how to navigate remote jeep or hiking routes—elements like weather-aware planning and terrain expertise set me apart
  • Full day coverage: Your day doesn’t stop at the vows. We’ll hike to waterfalls, share beers at a local brewery, jeep up rugged passes, or watch the stars over Sneffels—your Telluride elopement is a whole experience, not a two-hour photo op.
  • Telluride Elopement Guides & Resources: Every Telluride elopement I do is fully customized to you. I offer unlimited consultations, share scouted locations, create a personalized timeline, and provide packing lists and vendor recommendations. After hundreds of Telluride elopements, I know when the gondola’s open, which alpine lakes glow at sunrise, and how to dodge the tourist traps. I’ll create a timeline, pack list, and maps so you can just show up and soak it in.
  • Online Photo Gallery: You receive fully edited, full-resolution photos with a sharable link and unlimited downloads.
  • Telluride Maps & Permit Information: From permits to vendors, I’ve got the hookups. You’ll get consultations, planning calls, and access to my “Telluride Rolodex” of trusted, adventure-friendly vendors.
  • Next Day Teasers: You’ll relive the magic fast with sneak peeks in your inbox the very next day. And when it’s all said and done, you’ll have a custom leather photo album to hold in your hands, not just scroll through on your phone.
  • Photo Album: Ready to get your dope images

Vows and Peaks Telluride Elopement Packages

Vows and Peaks offers three Telluride elopement packages: Tree Line at $4,700 for 4 hours, Mountain at $6,000 for 8 hours, and Alpine at $7,000 for 10 hours. Mountain is the most-booked option, giving couples real trail miles or a real off-road route without spending the whole day getting there.

On the fence on which package to choose? Just go with the mountain. I’ve never once had a couple say they wished they’d cut the day shorter. See the full Colorado elopement packages for the all-inclusive vendor-team option.

How Do You Choose?

  • Easy off-roading or short hike around the area → Tree Line
  • Off-roading combined with hiking or a real hike into an epic spot → Mountain
  • Private adventure and then capping it off with family→ Alpine

Tree Line Elopement Package

$4,700

4 Hours of Photography: This is built for locations around Telluride like Ophir Pass or Bridal Veil Falls where you could do multiple spots or just one singular jeeping or hiking route. A lot of couples cap off their day at the Gondola or by Bridal Veil Falls.

Mountain Elopement Package

$6,000

8 Hours of Photography: Eight hours gives you the chance to find and do an epic spot. You could off-road up Imogene or find an epic hike nearby that will blow your mind. Need a drive? I can drive if you’d rather not white-knuckle it. This is for couples who want photos that don’t look like anywhere else in Colorado!

Alpine Elopement Package

$7,000

10 Hours of Photography: This is great for couples that want to do something private and then include family later in the day. A lot of my couples will do a hike and then find a accessible family location like San Sophia Overlook or other nearby spots for another ceremony. Both halves of the day, neither one cut short!

Why Choose Vows and Peaks for Your Telluride Elopement Package?

Real Contingency Planning

In 2024 a mudslide shut down Imogene Pass mid-season for one of my couples. We pivoted fast to a backup location and completely forgot about the first location. I build backup options the way other photographers build shot lists. You are in the best of hands!

A Local Vendor Team That Works in Telluride

You got your choice of local florists, killer hair and makeup artists, and videographers that not only know Telluride, but can help you piece together your day. All of these vendors live on my custom planning app you get after booking.

Locations You Won’t Find on Google

Let’s be real: half the spots you’ll find on Pinterest are overrun by mid-morning. I’ve been solo backpacking this range since before I ever picked up a camera for an elopement. Every location is scouted and backed up with a Plan B. You’ll get a custom list of spots of what you actually want to see, not just the famous overlooks.

Best Photos of Your Life

Telluride area will blow your mind. Couples always the same thing: how much fun they had, and how natural the photos turned out even for people who feel awkward in front of a camera. That’s 14 years in Colorado and 450+ elopements talking, not just a big number on a page.

Sean is the absolute best. Josh and I had never been to Colorado, but the day Vows and Peaks entered my Instagram feed, my heart was set. Sean had us fill out a short questionnaire, and created a day for us that was more than we could have ever imagined. The views, breathtaking, the execution, seamless. Everyone is amazed by our photos, we’ve even had friends say they wish they could redo their wedding to be like ours. If you’re thinking about hiring Sean, stop thinking and do it. He’s amazing at what he does. Most of all, Sean was as friendly and outgoing as you could hope for, making everything relaxed and comfortable. He broke the ice by mentioning Tim Biakabutuka to Josh, who is an avid wolverines fan, and from that point on we knew we were in good company lol. Thanks again, Sean!

Spencer and I are so happy with our elopement with Sean. The entire process was seamless, he was a real and genuine person the entire time, maintained positivity, and was true to every promise. Not to mention he is an insanely cool person to spend your wedding day with. He picked the perfect location for Spencer and I and maintained excitement through the entire 8 miles and 2,500+ ft gain. That's not easy to do!! Here are a couple of our sneak peeks. I am so excited to see our final photos. Thank you so much, Sean! If you love the outdoors and are an adventurous couple trying to find an elopement photographer, the choice is easy. Go with Vows and Peaks!

From our very first conversation, Sean made us feel like we were in great hands. He took the time to learn what we envisioned for our elopement and helped guide us through choosing the perfect location. His gallery of locations and communication helped us decide on Maroon Bells near Aspen as the most meaningful location for us. It turned out to be absolutely breathtaking and everything we had hoped for.

Throughout the planning process, Sean communicated exceptionally well, answered every question we had, and made what could have been a stressful experience feel exciting and manageable. On our wedding day, he was calm, patient, and encouraging. Walking over rocky terrain in a tuxedo and wedding gown wasn’t exactly easy, but he never rushed us and always made sure we felt comfortable and at ease. He reminded us that this was our day, and we got to decide what worked best for us.

The photographs are simply incredible. They didn’t just capture how our day looked—they captured how it felt. Every time we look at them, we’re taken right back to the joy, excitement, and adventure of our elopement.

If you’re looking for an elopement photographer who is talented, organized, professional, and genuinely invested in making your day unforgettable, I can’t recommend Sean highly enough. We are so grateful we trusted him with one of the most important days of our lives.

I cannot recommend Sean enough! His communication, planning, accommodating, and work is so amazing. He is so kind and truly made our elopement perfect. As a photo awkward person, he made it so effortless. I am so thankful we got to have our photos done by him and had him to help us plan our big day!

The most valuable advice we received was "the best plan is no plan". And while preparation is essential, Sean's perspective gave us the opportunity to live in the moment and adapt to the ever changing mountain weather effortlessly.

From the very first phone call, Sean listened to our thoughts and questions, offering the support and direction needed to make our elopement truly memorable. He provided the space for us to be creative and flexible; not only is he one of the coolest dudes we've ever spent time with, he was incredibly patient with our semi- thought out plans and my own lack of confidence on skis.

The pictures reflect a day that was far beyond our expectations. Sean captured moments that represented our elopement perfectly-from breathtaking and fun to the completely unexpected. Thank you, Sean, for sharing your your incredible photography skills, your great attitude and our special day with us.

Working with Sean was an absolute dream! We came across Vows and Peaks when we first got engaged and knew he was the perfect fit right away. Sean is so dedicated to his work and it was evident that he has a passion for elopement photography. His communication with us leading up to it was incredible and he was always available to answer all of our questions. The few days leading up to our big day there were flood warnings all around the area we planned to be in. On the day of, we made a solid attempt to stick to our original plan, but due to the weather we had to pivot. Sean was so calm and prepared with alternative locations that there was never a moment of panic or stress (and I’m very prone to stressing!). Our new locations were even more amazing than we could’ve imagined. As someone who feels incredibly awkward in front of a camera, Sean makes it so easy and natural. At the end of the day, I felt like I never even saw him taking photos because we were so in the moment. It’s safe to say I was blown away by the amount of amazing photos he captured (and how quickly we got our sneak peek photos!). Sean has that energy that makes you feel calm & comfortable as if you’re hanging out with an old friend. I am so so incredibly grateful that Sean was able to capture every emotion throughout the day so we can relive it over and over again. Our elopement was truly an adventure we will never forget and we couldn’t thank him enough!

From start to finish, our experience working with Sean at Vows & Peaks was so well-coordinated and fun. We found him through a Google search and, out of the many results, his website and offerings spoke to us as the most authentic and genuine. He was incredibly quick to respond when we reached out for more information and took the time to get to know us and what we wanted from our elopement. He continued to be really responsive and helpful throughout the three months leading up to our big day. He sent us a really thorough guide with many great tips and next steps. He gave us fantastic options for potential locations to choose from and he made himself available for any questions we had.
On the day of, we found out just how fun and cool Sean actually is. We of course had a ton of jitters, but he brought such a light-hearted and relaxed energy that grounded us in a real way. He made sure we got up to our location safely and at our own pace. Once we were up there, we got to celebrate in literally whatever way we wanted and that's exactly why we wanted to elope. The location was STUNNING and Sean gave us the perfect amount of direction while giving us the freedom to just be ourselves and enjoy the moment.
We got sneak peek photos the day after that were so incredible we thought to ourselves "how can the full album top this?!" It definitely did, though. We got our full album a few months later and were SO happy with the results. Sean captured moments we otherwise wouldn't have noticed and all of it captured the most candid and beautiful parts of that day, from our vows on a cliff ledge to our hike back down in my dress and Tevas. Sean helped make the experience everything we hoped for and now we get to relive it through his photos. Definitely hire this guy. He's a gem.

I absolutely loved working with Sean. I found Vows and Peaks on Instagram about two years ago, right before I got engaged. I knew I wanted to hire Sean based on the excitement of adventure and his photos. After our initial call I could tell the vibe was a fit as well. He made the whole experience very simple by planning the adventure and providing a ton of information on what to pack, vendor recommendations, etc. Sean did a great job capturing our day and making it unique to us. I highly recommend Sean/ Vows and Peaks!

Words can't begin to express how amazing Sean is and how happy we are with our experience. My husband and I had a small intimate wedding with 15 of our closest friends and family. We found Sean early on in our wedding planning and knew we wanted to work with him right away. At our first meeting, we envisioned our perfect day from start to end which included a private vow ceremony, epic views, and a celebration with our loved ones. What Sean delivered was everything we dreamed of and more. Sean guided us every step of the way making the process as stress-free as possible. He also referred us to most of our vendors who were all excellent choices. Sean is organized, professional, down to earth, and overall just a great human being. What set him apart was his ability to make our day feel special and organic without feeling like a production. On the day of our wedding, we were able to live in the moment and fully enjoy our time together and with our loved ones. As an expert photographer, Sean was able to capture the magic of our day perfectly and we are obsessed with our album. Sean, we can't thank you enough and are forever grateful!

Telluride Elopement Package FAQ

What’s included in a Telluride elopement package?

Every package includes location scouting, vendor connections, a custom timeline, real contingency planning, and your full online gallery. The difference between packages is hours of coverage and how deep into the backcountry you go.

How much does a Telluride elopement package cost?

Packages run $4,700 to $7,000 for photography and full planning. The marriage license runs $30 at the San Miguel County Clerk. Lodging is the number that moves your total most, from $150 a night in Ridgway to $600+ in peak-season Telluride. For the full budget breakdown, see the cost of eloping in Colorado.

Do you offer all-inclusive packages?

Yes, I do. Check out my all-inclusive Colorado elopement packages.

What’s the best time of year to book a Telluride elopement package?

July through October is the window, with September the sweet spot for fall color and stable weather. High passes typically open late June or early July and close around November 1. Check the festival calendar before picking a summer date, Telluride runs something almost every weekend in July and August.

How far in advance should we book our Telluride elopement package?

For popular dates in September and early October, I recommend booking 9-12 months ahead. Summer dates are a bit more flexible, but the earlier you reach out, the better your chances of securing your ideal date.

Hey, I’m Sean
Your Local Elopement Photographer, Expert Location Scout & Full-Service Planner
Sean Oblizalo, Vows and Peaks elopement photographer

I’m Sean. I live near Telluride half the year, and I’ve photographed 450+ elopements across Colorado. Telluride is my favorite area in the entire state to take couples who want the real version of a mountain elopement. I don’t just photograph elopements. I plan them, scout the location myself, handle the permits, and connect you with local vendors so you don’t have to think about any of it.

I live in Colorado full time, not just for elopement season. This isn’t a weekend trip for me. I’ve spent years learning these mountains, and I use that to find you a spot nobody else would think to send you to.

My Story

I’m Sean. I moved to Colorado 14 years ago and spent the first few years just exploring every corner of the state I could find. Eight years ago I started doing elopements in Colorado and it clicked immediately.

Hundreds of couples later and I’m still going out before sunrise to find those hidden locations, fixing broken dress zippers mid elopement, and building days where couples tell me they completely forgot I was even there. That the whole thing felt natural and unscripted, like hanging out with an old friend who just happened to be capturing everything. I’ve had couples deal with weather that had no business being on their wedding day, and their friends and family still couldn’t stop raving about the photos. That’s what I’m after every single time!

This place is not a backdrop to me. It’s home. That’s the difference between hiring someone who flies in for your elopement and hiring someone who genuinely lives in the mountains you’re getting married in.

Sound like the perfect match? Check out my All Inclusive Elopement Packages and reach out if you’re ready to elope in Colorado.
