Telluride Elopement Packages
Are you looking to elope in Telluride, but need help putting it all together for that stress free elopement you deserve? Well, you’re in the right place! I’m Sean, and I’ve been photographing elopements in Telluride since 2018. I know every switchback and secret ceremony spot up here, places that’ll give you dope images without another soul in sight. I’ll white-knuckle it down a jeep trail to get you to that perfect alpine ridge. When I’m not behind the lens, I’m scouting out old and new spots for couples like you! This is backyard and I have these elopement packages completely dialed in to make sure you have the easiest wedding of your life in one of Colorado’s coolest places.
But here’s the thing: Telluride looks straightforward until you start planning it. How are you going to find a location, pick out vendors, figure out where to stay, whether a spot is worth the hype, and what happens if a mudslide takes out your first choice (it’s happened). Your head is probably spinning with all the research you’ve been doing. That stops here!
My Telluride elopement packages are dialed in with all the planning to make this easy and I know the hidden aspen groves, the alpine lake basins that never show up on other photographers sites, and I build a timeline and backup plan into every single day so you don’t have to worry.
From the first call all the way through your gallery, these Telluride elopement packages are built to feel effortless and personal. Not like hiring a vendor off the street, but like calling up someone who already knows exactly what your day needs. Let’s dive in!

What is Included in Vows and Peaks Telluride Elopement Package?
Every Telluride elopement package with Vows and Peaks comes with photography, location scouting, vendor connections, a custom timeline, and your full gallery, all included. The only real difference between packages is how many hours you want to book.
Here’s some extra details of what is included in every package:
- Local Telluride Elopement Photographer: I know when the passes are accessible, how to navigate remote jeep or hiking routes—elements like weather-aware planning and terrain expertise set me apart
- Full day coverage: Your day doesn’t stop at the vows. We’ll hike to waterfalls, share beers at a local brewery, jeep up rugged passes, or watch the stars over Sneffels—your Telluride elopement is a whole experience, not a two-hour photo op.
- Telluride Elopement Guides & Resources: Every Telluride elopement I do is fully customized to you. I offer unlimited consultations, share scouted locations, create a personalized timeline, and provide packing lists and vendor recommendations. After hundreds of Telluride elopements, I know when the gondola’s open, which alpine lakes glow at sunrise, and how to dodge the tourist traps. I’ll create a timeline, pack list, and maps so you can just show up and soak it in.
- Online Photo Gallery: You receive fully edited, full-resolution photos with a sharable link and unlimited downloads.
- Telluride Maps & Permit Information: From permits to vendors, I’ve got the hookups. You’ll get consultations, planning calls, and access to my “Telluride Rolodex” of trusted, adventure-friendly vendors.
- Next Day Teasers: You’ll relive the magic fast with sneak peeks in your inbox the very next day. And when it’s all said and done, you’ll have a custom leather photo album to hold in your hands, not just scroll through on your phone.
- Photo Album: Ready to get your dope images

Vows and Peaks Telluride Elopement Packages
Vows and Peaks offers three Telluride elopement packages: Tree Line at $4,700 for 4 hours, Mountain at $6,000 for 8 hours, and Alpine at $7,000 for 10 hours. Mountain is the most-booked option, giving couples real trail miles or a real off-road route without spending the whole day getting there.
On the fence on which package to choose? Just go with the mountain. I’ve never once had a couple say they wished they’d cut the day shorter. See the full Colorado elopement packages for the all-inclusive vendor-team option.
How Do You Choose?
- Easy off-roading or short hike around the area → Tree Line
- Off-roading combined with hiking or a real hike into an epic spot → Mountain
- Private adventure and then capping it off with family→ Alpine

Tree Line Elopement Package
$4,7004 Hours of Photography: This is built for locations around Telluride like Ophir Pass or Bridal Veil Falls where you could do multiple spots or just one singular jeeping or hiking route. A lot of couples cap off their day at the Gondola or by Bridal Veil Falls.

Mountain Elopement Package
$6,0008 Hours of Photography: Eight hours gives you the chance to find and do an epic spot. You could off-road up Imogene or find an epic hike nearby that will blow your mind. Need a drive? I can drive if you’d rather not white-knuckle it. This is for couples who want photos that don’t look like anywhere else in Colorado!

Alpine Elopement Package
$7,00010 Hours of Photography: This is great for couples that want to do something private and then include family later in the day. A lot of my couples will do a hike and then find a accessible family location like San Sophia Overlook or other nearby spots for another ceremony. Both halves of the day, neither one cut short!

Why Choose Vows and Peaks for Your Telluride Elopement Package?
Real Contingency Planning
In 2024 a mudslide shut down Imogene Pass mid-season for one of my couples. We pivoted fast to a backup location and completely forgot about the first location. I build backup options the way other photographers build shot lists. You are in the best of hands!
A Local Vendor Team That Works in Telluride
You got your choice of local florists, killer hair and makeup artists, and videographers that not only know Telluride, but can help you piece together your day. All of these vendors live on my custom planning app you get after booking.
Locations You Won’t Find on Google
Let’s be real: half the spots you’ll find on Pinterest are overrun by mid-morning. I’ve been solo backpacking this range since before I ever picked up a camera for an elopement. Every location is scouted and backed up with a Plan B. You’ll get a custom list of spots of what you actually want to see, not just the famous overlooks.
Best Photos of Your Life
Telluride area will blow your mind. Couples always the same thing: how much fun they had, and how natural the photos turned out even for people who feel awkward in front of a camera. That’s 14 years in Colorado and 450+ elopements talking, not just a big number on a page.

Telluride Elopement Package FAQ
Every package includes location scouting, vendor connections, a custom timeline, real contingency planning, and your full online gallery. The difference between packages is hours of coverage and how deep into the backcountry you go.
Packages run $4,700 to $7,000 for photography and full planning. The marriage license runs $30 at the San Miguel County Clerk. Lodging is the number that moves your total most, from $150 a night in Ridgway to $600+ in peak-season Telluride. For the full budget breakdown, see the cost of eloping in Colorado.
Yes, I do. Check out my all-inclusive Colorado elopement packages.
July through October is the window, with September the sweet spot for fall color and stable weather. High passes typically open late June or early July and close around November 1. Check the festival calendar before picking a summer date, Telluride runs something almost every weekend in July and August.
For popular dates in September and early October, I recommend booking 9-12 months ahead. Summer dates are a bit more flexible, but the earlier you reach out, the better your chances of securing your ideal date.
I’m Sean. I live near Telluride half the year, and I’ve photographed 450+ elopements across Colorado. Telluride is my favorite area in the entire state to take couples who want the real version of a mountain elopement. I don’t just photograph elopements. I plan them, scout the location myself, handle the permits, and connect you with local vendors so you don’t have to think about any of it.
I live in Colorado full time, not just for elopement season. This isn’t a weekend trip for me. I’ve spent years learning these mountains, and I use that to find you a spot nobody else would think to send you to.
I’m Sean. I moved to Colorado 14 years ago and spent the first few years just exploring every corner of the state I could find. Eight years ago I started doing elopements in Colorado and it clicked immediately.
Hundreds of couples later and I’m still going out before sunrise to find those hidden locations, fixing broken dress zippers mid elopement, and building days where couples tell me they completely forgot I was even there. That the whole thing felt natural and unscripted, like hanging out with an old friend who just happened to be capturing everything. I’ve had couples deal with weather that had no business being on their wedding day, and their friends and family still couldn’t stop raving about the photos. That’s what I’m after every single time!
This place is not a backdrop to me. It’s home. That’s the difference between hiring someone who flies in for your elopement and hiring someone who genuinely lives in the mountains you’re getting married in.
