Adventure + Family Elopement in Colorado
I love when couples go all out on their elopement days. You can absolutely include traditional elements, while still adventuring, and that’s exactly what Brianna and Matt did for their elopement in Colorado. Brianna and I went over a couple different ideas for their elopement before deciding on a sunrise hike where they could share a first look, private vows, and picnic before meeting back up with friends and family later on for a separate more traditional ceremony.
We met up at the trailhead at 4 am and hiked under the stars to a secluded alpine lake in Colorado. They got changed in the woods for their epic first look at sunrise. Matt even brought out his army uniform, which had a throwback look to the World War II. It was impressive and went great with Brianna’s dress and backdrop! They then shared some private vows before we all stuffed our faces with cheese and champagne together!
We then hiked back down and headed to Boulder, Colorado where they got freshened up and prepared for their sunset ceremony at Sunrise Amphitheater right outside of Boulder. But first: Brianna shared a private first look with her father, and it was definitely a highlight of the day. What a special moment!
We then headed up to Sunrise Amphitheater for the last ceremony of the day, where Brianna’s sister officiated. It was super low key and a perfect way to cap off a day full of adventure. You really can’t write up a better script for an elopement in Colorado. Brianna and Matt went all out on vendors and really embraced the fact that there are no rules for how your elopement should look. Just pick out the elements you want to include the most and make it happen!
