Boulder Colorado Elopement
One of my favorite areas is in the Indian Peaks near Boulder, Colorado. Not only is there great food but the area has some of the prettiest hikes so close to home! When Ashley and Enrique reached out about their elopement we went over a couple different location ideas before deciding on an alpine lake outside of Boulder.
We started the hike mid afternoon so we could catch sunset and caught some pretty awesome weather! They wanted to do a first look before sharing their vows and I knew the perfect spot on the way to the lake. We stopped at a waterfall about a half mile before our final destination where they shared an intimate and beautiful first look. Boulder isn’t known for it’s waterfalls but this one is a local favorite and made for an awesome first look backdrop!
After the first look they set up a hammock and wrote their vows while drinking some beers. Most couples write their vows before their elopement day but this was a really fun way of doing it! They were totally in their elements surrounding by the sounds of the waterfall and towering trees above them. Can’t complain about that!
We then set out to the lake where they shared their vows and popped some bubbles! The ceremony spot was surrounded by wild flowers as the sun was setting. It was such a beautiful backdrop for an awesome couple! We then explored the surrounding area while drinking bubbles and cracking jokes. It was such a fun adventure and I’m so happy I was able to share one of my favorite local spots near Boulder, Colorado with these two lover!
