Snowy June Elopement in Nederland
June is one of my favorite months in the Nederland of Colorado and makes for an awesome time to elope! The residual snow leaves behind some fun formations and the snow-capped peaks are an added bonus to photos, so when Rachel and Steve reached out about eloping in June, I knew we were in for a treat.
We started hiking around 3am and were immediately hit with leftover snow which made the hike up extra adventurous. Nothing better than crossing snow fields in the middle of the night on your wedding day! We finally reached our final destination where Rachel and Steve shared a fireball shot and changed for their first look. We timed it perfectly as the sun was rising from the east and lit them up perfectly for the magic moment.
We then hiked over to a different spot near the lake where they shared their vows with the snow-capped peaks and half-frozen lake behind them. It was such a surreal and beautiful backdrop for their vow ceremony! We then hiked over the snow field and grabbed some dramatic photos of the snow field and waterfall gushing below it. This was really unique and timed right because of the time of the month!
Rachel and Steve shared a picnic, more fireball shots, and set back to their car before heading out to dinner that night to celebrate. I really can’t think of more fun and adventurous elopement than this one!
