Alta Lakes Elopement
urAs a photographer, I had the pleasure of working closely with Dylan, leveraging his hunting background and keen eye for finding perfect locations. Together, we scouted Alta Lakes in Telluride, a serene spot ideal for our family’s intimate wedding ceremony.
We aimed for an intimate experience that embraced their family elopement, and my network of awesome vendors for their elopement package made it possible to bring their dream to life! The night before the wedding, we all met to finalize details and for a meet and great before the hair and makeup started.
The sunrise hike was breathtaking, offering intimate moments and stunning views that perfectly captured the essence of Savannah and Dylan’s Colorado elopement vision. Back at the cabin, a heartfelt ceremony officiated by their best friend unfolded seamlessly, with the playful antics of their dogs.
It was such a perfect blend of adventure and family time at one of the coolest venues in the state!
I’m Sean. I live 40 minutes from Telluride in Ridgway, I’ve photographed 450+ elopements across Colorado, and Telluride is still my favorite area in the entire state to take couples who want the real version of a mountain elopement. That the whole thing felt natural and unscripted, like hanging out with an old friend who just happened to be capturing everything. I’ve had couples deal with weather that had no business being on their wedding day, and their friends and family still couldn’t stop raving about the photos. That’s what I’m after every single time!
This place is not a backdrop to me. It’s home. That’s the difference between hiring someone who flies in for your elopement and hiring someone who genuinely lives in the mountains you’re getting married in.
