Glacier Point Elopement
Last Updated on February 26, 2026 by vowsandpeaks
Sara and Adam tossed around a few different ideas where they wanted their Yosemite photos and landed on a plan that let us soak it all in—splitting the day in two to maximize both the views and the adventure. The morning started with a sunrise ceremony at Glacier Point, where they exchanged vows with Half Dome rising behind them. It’s one of those locations that never gets old and also makes it easy for friends and family to be part of the moment. Afterward, we explored the area, chased the soft morning light, and then took a well-earned midday break.
As the sun dipped lower, we met back up for round two and headed out toward Taft Point. The hike in was full of movement—running through the trees, kicking up dust, and leaning into that carefree, just-married energy. We arrived right as the sun began to set, watching the granite walls glow as the sky shifted through layers of color. It was the perfect way to end an already epic day.
Yosemite is hands-down one of my favorite national parks. Even after more than 20 years of exploring it, there’s always something new to discover. Getting to share a day like this with Adam and Sarah was an absolute honor—and a reminder of why I love documenting elopements in Yosemite so much.
