Lauren and Joseph’s chose a hiking elopement at sunrise, marking the beginning of their extraordinary day. At the summit, they both got ready for their first look, and Lauren even had her hair and makeup done on location in Colorado because of the elopement package she booked. So bad ass! The scene was nothing short of breathtaking, with the San Juan Mountains standing majestically against the backdrop of a clear sky and the lake standing absolutely still. Their first look was a moment of pure magic in a field of wildflowers, setting the tone for the day’s adventures.
They they set out to share their vows on the shore of the lake above Telluride as the reflections casted behind them. It was so incredibly clear without a spec of wind to cause any ripples. So beautiful and stunning as the rocks reflected clearly. We then explored the surrounding area for couples photos before popping some bubbles to celebrate and headed back into town to meet up with family for the family ceremony
The weather remained perfect as we arrived at the family portion of the day, surrounded by stunning views, they exchanged vows with their closest friends and family. The ceremony had traditional aspects like walking down the aisle, along with family photos before heading off to their private dinner in a horse drawn sleigh drive. I have a deep passion for blending adventure with tradition into their day, creating unique experiences that allow couples to cherish their own moments while also keeping their families delighted. Lauren & Joseph flawlessly embraced these elements, hitting every special moment along the way, and it was truly enjoyable to capture their journey!

I live in Colorado full time, not just for elopement season. This isn’t a weekend trip for me. I’ve spent years learning these mountains, and I use that to find you a spot nobody else would think to send you to.
My Story
I’m Sean. I moved to Colorado 14 years ago and spent the first few years just exploring every corner of the state I could find. Eight years ago I started doing elopements in Colorado and it clicked immediately.
Hundreds of couples later and I’m still going out before sunrise to find those hidden locations, fixing broken dress zippers mid elopement, and building days where couples tell me they completely forgot I was even there. That the whole thing felt natural and unscripted, like hanging out with an old friend who just happened to be capturing everything. I’ve had couples deal with weather that had no business being on their wedding day, and their friends and family still couldn’t stop raving about the photos. That’s what I’m after every single time!
This place is not a backdrop to me. It’s home. That’s the difference between hiring someone who flies in for your elopement and hiring someone who genuinely lives in the mountains you’re getting married in.
